Improved LED floodlight for explosive atmospheres
Many production facilities have areas that we refer to as potentially explosive atmospheres. In such environments, vapours or gases may escape and, at a certain concentration, form an explosive mixture with air.
Until now, FOX LED floodlights were suitable for zone 2 (low risk of an explosive atmosphere); from now on, the floodlights can also be used in:
- zone 1 (gas zone) – areas where an explosive gas atmosphere is likely to occur in normal operation,
- zone 21 (dust zone) – areas where an explosive atmosphere in the form of a cloud of combustible dust in air is likely to occur occasionally in normal operation.
The FOX LED floodlight is therefore designed for potentially explosive atmospheres of group II, category 2 (zones 1, 21).
