Luminaires used: PRIUS II LED panel
DIW s.r.o. asked us to design suitable lighting for its new printing premises.
For all tasks in a printing house, the standard requires an illuminance of at least 500 lx, glare of no more than UGR = 19 and colour rendering of Ra 80. Wherever colour inspection takes place, the requirements are stricter: the lighting should have a colour rendering of at least Ra 90, reach an illuminance of up to 1,500 lx and have a colour temperature of 5,500 K (± 500 K).
Given these requirements, we needed luminaires with a high luminous flux and a diffuser (cover) that would reduce glare to the required level. The choice of luminaires was based on a lighting design, which determined both their number and their layout in the space.
The solution we designed and supplied comprised 142 PRIUS II LED panels rated at 41 W with a colour temperature of 5,000 K. Panels with a colour rendering index of Ra 90 were supplied for the colour inspection areas; for the remaining areas, the Ra 80 version was sufficient.
