Light and acoustic comfort in one luminaire
Acoustic LED lights combine lighting with noise absorption – the luminaire body is an acoustic panel that dampens sound reflections in the room. They are ideal wherever many people gather in an open space and sound bounces off hard surfaces: open-plan offices, meeting rooms, schools, hotels, restaurants and receptions.
Benefits of acoustic lights
Glass, concrete and plasterboard reflect sound. In open spaces, this prolongs reverberation, which reduces speech intelligibility and increases fatigue – people talk louder, noise builds up and the whole space becomes unpleasant. An acoustic light solves two problems at once: it lights the workplace while absorbing part of the reflected sound.
Shorter reverberation, better speech intelligibility
The luminaire’s acoustic panel absorbs part of the sound instead of reflecting it back into the room. Reverberation time is shortened and speech becomes easier to understand without people having to raise their voices.
Two functions, one suspension
Instead of separate acoustic panels and separate luminaires, you install a single element – saving ceiling space and part of the installation costs.
A solution even where building work is not an option
Acoustic lights are suspended from the existing ceiling. No suspended ceiling, wall cladding or structural work is needed. They are well suited to rented premises and to resolving noise complaints after the fact.
Lights and standalone panels
The range includes acoustic lights as well as standalone acoustic panels without a lighting element. Add panels wherever you need more sound-absorbing surface but the lighting is already in place – above a meeting table, along a wall or between workstations.
Luminaire quality
Depending on the model, the acoustic element is a felt panel or a stabilised moss panel, available in several colour options. The lighting element consists of LED chips and drivers from renowned manufacturers – the same components we use in our other ranges.
Acoustic light prices
We price the luminaires individually for each project. Together with the lighting design, we also prepare an estimate of the acoustic benefit for the room in question – the number of luminaires is based on the room volume and the sound absorption of its surfaces, not just on the required illuminance.
