Original lighting solution
Originally, there were 40 x 400W gas discharge floodlights installed on site. On average, the lights were on 7 days a week, 11 hours a day. System energy consumption was approx. 67,200 kWh per year.
If the price is 0.115 EUR/kWh, the customer pays the annual costs as following:
- Energy costs – 7,728 EUR
- Maintenance costs – 800 EUR
- Total costs – 8,528 EUR
New lighting solution
We offered costs-saving solution for our customer – 40 LED Floodlights 500-100W for industrial use Bridgelux COB LED 130 lm/W, MeanWell driver, IP65.
The new lighting system consumes approx. 16,320 kWh per year. If the price is 0.115 EUR/kWh, the customer pays the annual costs as following:
- Energy costs – 1,877 EUR
- Maintenance costs – 0 EUR
- Total costs – 1,877 EUR
Savings achieved
Return on investment is 1.9 year.
Annual energy costs saving is 5,851 EUR.
Maintenance costs saving is 800 EUR per year (LED Lighting solution is maintenance free and its operation time is more than 50,000 hours) Total annual saving is 6,651EUR.
Total cost savings during the LED Light operation time (approx. 12.5 years) is more than 83,136 EUR. Total CO2 emission reduction during the LED Light operation time is 354 tonnes.
